The 2001 annual Ball Reunion,
open to all former students/graduates and their guests, is history.
It was held at the Heritage House,
3851 S. 6th St., Springfield, Saturday, June 2, 2001.
The opening program consisted of remarks by Gene Heselton.
The meal followed with the invocation given by Dr Bill Kessler.
Bill Wilken paid tribute to the seven members of the Class of 1951 who are deceased:
Russell Osland, Gay Syson, Martha Gaule, Geraldine (Skaggs) Branham, Jack Fooks, Harry Haines and Eddie Nick Edwards

Bill also recalled his favorite memories of his senior year with the Class of 1951.
Paul Sullivan expressed how much he had looked forward to this, his first reunion,
and explained what his 50 years since graduation had held for him.

whose photo appears with the composite of the 1952 graduating class
and who brought the program to the 2006 reunion.



Ruth Payne was again gracious enough to furnish the piano
accompaniment for Donna Sue Wolaver to lead us in the traditional sing along.

Louis Page-Class of 1929
were honored as those representing the earliest classes,


Sue (Gilvin) Gillmore
received recognition for having traveled the farthest (from Point Arena, CA)
and tribute was paid


Mrs Emma (Chandler) Talley
-the only faculty member to join us.
The get-together ended after drawings for the floral table decorations and an enjoyable evening.


Thank you to Miriam (Klein) Loock who provided a current/deliverable address for her sister, Grace (Klein) Krupski, Barb (Bancroft) Dale, Cliff and Sally (Bridges) Hill, Ginge (Mohan) Batterton, Juanita (Gilpin) King who is a sister of Betty (Gilpin) Hammond, Ray Wheeler who is Polly's brother, Don Smith, Liz and Gene Heselton, and my aunt, Virginia Mellinger for their help in locating and correcting. And a big thank you to those who previously gathered information and passed along the computerized data and to Sandy Wilkin (wife of Bill) who so ably converted that data to a format my computer could read.
