There was some concern for the 2007 reunion.

As I understand, Dwayne Ginger, the chairman-to-be had open heart surgery and was unable to organize the reunion.

However, the tradition did continue and though the group was smaller in
number and many who had made reservations found it necessary to miss the occasion, it is hoped a good time was had by all.
Thank you all for coming and
thank you to John and Doris for manning the check in, to Donna Sue for
treating us to her very beautiful voice, Paul for the reading of his nomination of
Mr. Morrison to the Glenwood Hall of Fame and Chuck Krell for his
recollection of "Moving Day for the Glenwood Class of '57" as they left Ball High School to graduate a few months later
from their new high school.

Again, I came short of photographing each of the 11 tables but here are a few faces that were new to me and the groups and tables
I managed to capture.

John would like to know if there are any others from the class of '37 still alive and if so, who are they and where are they.
We won't be coming to the reunion because of the distance and also our health isn't the best.
Thanks a lot

did get to the web site and printed out a lot of it for John to read. He is thrilled to see all of it and said thanks so much.
We will be in Chatham on Aug 11th for a birthday celebration, John's 90th and my 85th. We will have it in the Methodist Church and hope you can come celebrate with us. I think it will be from 2 until 4.
Thanks again.
Dorothy

I got the invitation for Ball's reunion and got on the web sight later only to find that Dwayne Ginger has had open heart surgery. That's a shock and we wish him a speedy recovery and good health for many years to come.
We were happy to attend last year's reunion but will be unable to come this year. I can't really describe the good feeling that I got from attending except to say that the time and expense it took to come from Maine to Il. was well worth it. It does indeed seem impossible that all those years have gone by. Where were we?
Thanks for keeping the website on Ball. It is a link to the past that I enjoy visiting from time to time, and I'm sure others do as well.
Have Fun,
Dave Bridges

I regret that I will be unable to attend this year's reunion of Ball Township High School. I will be producing a musical show at that time and cannot be away. Rest assured that my thoughts will be with all of you. While I attended Ball for only one year, I have fond remembramces of my school and the many good friends I left behind there. Please let everyone know that I wish the best for all.

It was good to hear from you after all these years! It sounds as if you have had a very content and fulfilled life. BRAVO!
You asked about Dad. He was born on April 26, 1900, in Payson, Illinois, and died on October 17, 1987, in Salt Lake City, Utah, where I was living at the time. He had lived in Salt Lake City for a year; he came out to convalesce after breaking his hip, mowing the lawn (!) at home in Spingfield. After his death, Mother continued to live in Salt Lake City until she died, on Feb. 19, 1989.
It's wonderful that you are maintaining all of the old Ball Township records. As I remember it, you transferred to Ball from Chatham High School, right? I always admired and respected all of you who made that transition. For teenagers, it couldn't have been easy, but, at least from my prespective, we all blended in quickly. I hope you have happy memories, too!!!!
Best wishes for the reunion! Margaret

Margaret, Donna Sue and I are working together on the school reunion this year. She let me know you had responded via e-mail. I am putting photos together and it appears your father attended many of these reunions. I have photos from 1982, 1983, 1985 and 1986 as well as earlier snapshots. A copy of the 1987 address delivered does thank your father but I have no photos from that reunion. Would you be kind enough to furnish the dates of his birth and death.

Thanks for the invitation to the Annual Ball Reunion. I am sorry not to be able to attend. My father graduated from Ball Township HS and told many stories of his experiences there. My own earliest memories of the school are of the donkey basketball games, dances and other fun, community activities.
Thanks to all of you who plan and work so hard to make the reunion a success each year. I'm sure this year's gathering will be in the same tradition and enjoyed by all who can attend.

My brother, Bud Inslee, has forwarded your letter to me. I, too, am sorry I am not able to attend. We know the numbers are thinning, through the years. I have attended in the past, and it was so much fun to see students who were in high school, while I was in grade school. In such a small community, there were "famous" faces all around!
My new address is: Mary J. Smith (mrs. Richard) Class of `59

And, my email is: insleemj@yahoo.com
I join my brother in thank you and everyone who works so hard to organize the reunions. Seems like it must be a lot harder than throwing a prom for the seniors!!
I hope it's a good attendance, and much laughter will be heard.
Maybe next year..I'll keep my fingers crossed, sincerely, Mary Jo (Inslee-Nichols) Smith

I appreciate your invitation for the Ball reunion on June 9. It is always a joy to spend the evening with the Ball High School alumnae.
We do have a conflict (a wedding) and will not be able to spend the evening with you folks. We are not driving much at night except in Litchfield.
I trust you have a good attendance and a joyous evening of wonderful fellowship.
A warm greeting to each one attending.
